Early Morning Routine

If you can follow this routine, I think it’d be very helpful for you.

1. Wake up by 4 am or a little earlier. (Ensure you have slept 4hours before waking)

2. Do not touch your phone! If you must, do not use the Internet. If you must, do not use any social media platform.

3. Start with dhikr, then tahajjud, then pondering over the Quran.

4. Do shukr (gratitude) for all the blessings you can think of and dua for all the things you plan to do that day.

5. If you have anything to memorize, then start with memorization. If you’re not memorizing, start with the part of your work that needs the deepest focus. If you’re a student, you may want to study, if you’re learning a skill, you may want to continue then.

6. By the time you finish with no.5, subh would be close. Take a break and start doing istighfaar (seeking forgiveness) until it’s subh time.

7. Observe subh and maintain your place till sunrise.

8. Do the morning adhkaar and read more of the Quran or revise or memorize till sunrise.

9. After sunrise, start with the most important thing to you! If you’re a student of knowledge, read or memorise. School student? Study. Remote worker? Work.

10. From 10 am, you can then start thinking of eating, talking to people, or checking your phone.

If you maintain this routine, your life will very very much improve insha Allah.
